Domaine de Carmignan

AOP CÔTES DU RHÔNE

Carmignan is located to the east of the commune of Bagnols sur Cèze on the right bank of the Rhône in the Gard department. The terroir of this estate is in the old river bed, a mixture of alluvium and pebbles, a highly draining soil that puts a strain on the vines. They have to go deep to find their resources.

This relatively young vineyard is made up of 6 red grape varieties: Grenache, Syrah, Mourvèdre, Cinsault, Carignan and Marselan, and 3 white grape varieties: Roussane, Clairette and Viognier.

The wines produced here are light, aromatic and fruity. Both red and white wines can be enjoyed chilled in summer, but this in no way detracts from their charm.

Pair them with summer barbecues, mixed salads or savory tarts, and you'll find happiness in their simplicity.

Domaine de Carmignan is owned by Bénédicte Bonnet, a winemaker in Monteux.

Her philosophy is rooted in respect for the land and terroirs, essential values for guaranteeing the quality of her grapes. Committed to organic farming for over ten years, she has adopted the High Environmental Value (HVE) label for more rational and respectful management. With this in mind, all labels, cartons and bottles are made from recycled materials.

Its aim is to offer wines that are pleasant, accessible, fruity and balanced on the palate, with just the right amount of tannin.
